OZ Mk2 PD Racers	Safe, stable and easy to sail.	The Mk2 Oz Racer is designed to get kids, and adults, away from the TV and computer and back onto the water in boats that don't cost an arm or a leg. They are simple to build, easy to sail. It's that simple. Michael Storer has refined and improved the original design to make it easier to build and better to sail. The home handy person could knock one up in no time. Even if you're not that handy, you could still manage it.	To help promote these great little sailers, Duck Flat have made available materials, various parts or complete kits for the Mk2 Oz Racer. We can even build you one if you don't want to build your own or haven't the time. And it still gets you or your kids out on the water for not much outlay. She'll take 2 adult plus, you can row her, she'll take a motor and can be carried by 2 kids! Sailing is no longer an expensive sport. ...and the fleet is building.

Cut the panels, glue the cleats	Glue the panels together	Material Packs All the plywood, epoxy, fibreglass and timber. The timber is cut to match the materials list in the plans and major components are labeled. Ply can come plain or pre-epoxy coated. POA Pre-cut Kits As above but the ply is cut out and labeled - saving heaps of time and effort. Ply can come plain or pre-epoxy coated. POA	Mast Materials This is one area where it can be a little difficult to get good quality timber. Cheap timber can be OK for the hull framing - but the mast needs to be of reasonable quality timber. We supply timber as per the timber list.POA Glued Up Masts On the other hand we can glue up a mast for you so it is ready for you to epoxy coat, paint or varnish. Just one less job to do. POA

Cut & glue...	...the insides	Premarked Plywood Alternatively we can supply the ply sheets with the accurate shape of the parts already accurately marked out - ready to cut. POA Centreboard and Rudder: Blanks The timber blank is glued as per the plan and thicknessed to the required 22mm ready for shaping. Saves heaps more time. POA	Sails 140gsm Off White Polytarp sails ready to go - off the peg. These sails are professionally made by our sailmaker so the quality of workmanship is excellent - put his years of experience to work for you. The sails are properly stitched and reinforced with good quality eyelets.POA Polytarps If making your own sails it can be hard to find a reasonable quality polytarp to cut the sail from. We carry Off White good quality 140gsm polytarp - big enough for a single sail.POA

Put it all together	..and Presto! One sailboat!	Centreboard and Rudder Blanks: with routed guide grooves Blanks are glued up and thicknessed but we use our accurate templates to mark grooves across the rudder and centreboard blanks that show the finished, accurate foil shape. Simply plane along the blank so the grooves disappear. Then round over the nose of the foil using the template and you have perfectly shaped high performance foils. POA Centreboard and Rudder: Fully Shaped Blanks fully shaped Accurate fully shaped foils. Just fibreglass as per the plan. POA	Fittings Kit Complete fittings kit for rigging. Includes all blocks, rope, cleats, fixings, gudgeons & pintles, inspection ports, etc.POA Plans Plans are available for a mere AU $20. Freight for books, plans and clothing is AUD$15.00 up to a total of 3kg in Australia and AUD$18.00 up to 0.5kg International. (Allow 0.5kg per book, plan or clothing item)
Freight for multiple/bulky items or items over 3kg (Aust) 0.5kg (International) is charged at cost plus 10% and should be confirmed with Duck Flat Wooden Boats prior to consignment.
International Freight of larger items is also by arrangement.
