The
OZ
Mk2 PD Racer
is designed to get kids, and adults, away from the TV and computer
and back onto the water in boats that don't cost an arm or a leg.
They are simple to build, easy to sail. It's that simple.
Michael
Storer has refined and improved the original design to make it easier
to build and better to sail.
The home handy person could knock one up in no time. Even if you're
not that handy, you could still manage it.

To help promote
these great little sailers, Duck Flat have made available materials,
various parts or complete kits for the OZ
Mk2 PD Racer. We can even build you one if you don't
want to build your own or haven't the time. And it still gets you
or your kids out on the water for not much outlay. She'll take 2
adult plus, you can row her, she'll take a motor and can be carried
by 2 kids!

Packs
All the plywood, epoxy, fibreglass and timber.
The timber is cut to match the materials list in the plans and major
components are labeled. Ply can come plain or pre-epoxy coated.

Mast
Materials
This is one area where it can be a
little difficult to get good quality timber. Cheap timber can be
OK for the hull framing - but the mast needs to be of reasonable
quality timber. We supply timber as per the
timber list. AUD

Up Masts
On the other hand we can glue up a mast for
you so it is ready for you to epoxy coat, paint or varnish. Just

and thicknessed to the required 22mm ready for shaping. Saves heaps

Sails
140gsm Off White Polytarp sails ready to
go - off the peg. These sails are professionally made by our sailmaker
so the quality of workmanship is excellent - put his years of experience
to work for you. The sails are properly stitched and reinforced
with good quality eyelets. AUD

If making your own sails it can be hard to
find a reasonable quality polytarp to cut the sail from. We carry
Off White good quality 140gsm polytarp - big enough for a single

Centreboard
and Rudder Blanks: with routed guide grooves
Blanks are glued up and thicknessed but we
use our accurate templates to mark grooves across the rudder and
centreboard blanks that show the finished, accurate foil shape.
Simply plane along the blank so the grooves disappear. Then round
over the nose of the foil using the template and you have perfectly
shaped high performance foils. AUD
