CLC Sailrig
The CLC Sailrig is
fast, pretty and has
no bad habits at
all. 25kts of wind
and beam
reaching, it never
drove even for a
second, and if
sailed into a wave
it popped up
easily.
The Sailrig Mk2,
with it's simple
construction, is an
easy kayak
attachment. It is
adaptable to
almost every kayak
and canoe in the
Chesapeake
range and it
assembles and
disassemble in 30
minutes.
While a CLC
Sailrig equipped
kayak is a proper
sailing boat by any
measure, the
great thig is you
get your kayak
back when you
want it!

Oxford Shell
The Oxford Shell is
a swift, smooth
running
recreational shell
suitable for all skill
levels whether
beginner or
experienced. The
narrow hard chine
hull provides
speed with good
initial stability in a
shape that's easy
to build.
The sliding seat
can be difficult and
expensive to
manufacture so
Chesapeake have
designed the shell
to take an off the
shelf ready made
sliding rig. Just
ask us!

Annapolis Wherry
The Annapolis Wherry design is derived from the graceful wooden livery boats used on the 19th century River Thames, though lower, lighter, faster and ever so graceful.
This beautiful creature, with it's solid stability, seakindly lines, excellent tracking, a bouyant bow and ample flare make the Wherry a natural choice for choppy conditions ...and there's room for plenty of sprawling and not to forget the picnic basket.

Sassafras 12
Today we often think of wooden canoes as being strip-built, but lapstrake (or clinker) has even a longer history. CLC's revolutionary Lapstitch construction method allows someone with no previous woodworking experience to build a lapstrake canoe.
No strongback, moulds or even frames are required. Just glue the pre-cut kit together.
You can carry this strong but voluminous canoe on you shoulder, it'll carry 114kgs. Great for the kids or to carry off to that secluded stream.

Sassafras 16
Like many traditional canoes, the Sassafras 16 has a symetrical bow and stern allowing a solo paddler to sit facing "backwards" on the foreward seat for better trim. Her slightly rounded hull offers more speed and responsiveness than many plastic or glass boats.
The hull is slighty rockered to reduce the wetted area, making her effortless to paddle giving a smooth or well dampened feel that's charcteristic of good wooden canoes.

Eastport Pram
It's hard to pack much boat into 8' but this little beauty manages, with it's deep rocker, to have decent stabilty, pleasing proportions and good rowing performance.
The Pram's many joys are multiplied when you add the simple balanced lug sail rig. She has enough real upwind and downwind performance to keep even the seasoned sailor interested.
Whether used as a tender, rower or sailer this lapstich construction is so simple, the hull will go together in a weekend.

Jimmy Skiff
Proper rowing and sailing skiffs are extraordinarly rare these days. With 90% or all flat bottom skiffs designed for outboard motors, we may be in danger of forgetting the pleasures of an afternoon in a handsome easliy driven rowing skiff that glides effortlessly with each stroke.
It's ample beam and stability give her perfect balance and impecable sailing manners in light or fresh breezes.
You can build her as a rowboat and add the sailing rig later.

Artic Hawk Kayak
The Artic Hawk is an 18' kayak based on the traditional "skin" kayaks used in West Greenland for over a 1,000 years.
This affordable high performance design is built from light weight Gaboon ply and will deliver all the seaworthyness, speed and maneuverability the native hunter relied on at sea.
Novices will appreciate learning to p[addle a craft which responds and tracks as well as the Artic Hawk.

Passagemaker Dinghy
The Passagemaker Dinghy is easy to build but looks great and performs beautifully. A smooth glide when rowing, spirited performance when sailing, and steady handling with an outboard mark this latest entry in our fleet of graceful build-it-yourself boat kits.
This is the perfect dinghy for folks with larger boats. Are you tired of moving heavy, traditional dinghies that weigh 200 pounds, or struggling with a limp, awkward inflatable that can't be rowed or sailed? CLC designer John C. Harris has drawn an elegant, Norwegian-styled pram that weighs only 90lbs, but can survive real abuse in the dinghy park.
